# 列の詳細を変更する

列の詳細を追加または編集するには、ライセンスを付与されたシートの所有者または管理者である必要があります。

#### 列のタイプを変更するには
[プライマリ列](https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2480241-column-type-reference)と[プロジェクト設定列](https://help.smartsheet.com/customer/portal/articles/765727)の列タイプは変更できません。
1. 列ヘッダーの上にマウスを移動し、 「列メニュー」を選択します。 または、列ヘッダーをダブルクリックします。
2. 「列プロパティの編集」を選択します。
#### 列の説明を含める
カスタム ツールチップで列に関する重要な情報を説明します。 たとえば、列の説明を使用して、列に含まれると予想されるデータの種類を文書化します。 説明フィールドには最大 250 文字を入力できます。
1. 列ヘッダーを右クリックします。
2. 「列の説明の追加」を選択します。
3. フォームに列の説明を入力します。
4. 「OK」を選択します。
それでおしまい！ これで、シートを共有している誰もが列の説明を表示できるようになります。
**列の説明を表示する**
注: レポートやダッシュボードでは列の説明を表示できません。 列の説明はシートにのみ表示されます。
次のアイコンが表示されると、列に説明があることがわかります。 列の説明を表示するには:

1. 列ヘッダーを右クリックします。
2. 「列の説明の編集」を選択します。
3. \[列の説明] フォームで、必要な変更を加えます。
4. 「OK」を選択します。
